Firmware Recovery of the Net Device v4.0
This page provides directions how to recover a non-working In/Out Net device v4.0.
Introduction
This procedure should be used only if your Net Device is not booting properly and you cannot upgrade the Net Device v4.0 with the standard procedure.
When a device v4.0 boots, a small led on top of the device is blinking fast. Then the device makes a loud beep approximately 15 seconds after pressing the power button - this indicates that the device is up, running and ready to be associated to a phone bia Bluetooth. If you don't hear that beep, something is wrong in the device firmware and you need to follow this recovery procedure.
Procedure

0) Download the recovery tool for your computer platform: Linux, or MacOS or Windows.

1) Plug a USB cable between the Net Device and the computer.

2) Boot the Net Device in recovery mode by pressing BOTH buttons AT THE SAME TIME for AT LEAST 5 seconds. You need to use a pin or a small screw driver to access the internal left button.
Be very careful, when booting the Net Device in recovery mode, no led will turn on. So the device will be on but with no visual sign. To turn off the device and avoid draining your battery, press the right power button for at least 5 seconds. Once again, nothing will change as the led is not on.
- 3) Run the tool of your platform. Don't remove the device during the procedure. Don't touch the script until the end.

4) Once the script is completely finished, you need to turn off the device by pressing the right power button for at least 5 seconds.

5) Then, try to turn on the device again the normal way by only pressing the right power button for 2 seconds.
It's recommended to copy-paste the output of the script and send it to the support team via the helpdesk.
